Passed away peacefully on 25 July 2025, aged 93 years.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and RoI, as well as a seasonal lifeguard service on many of the busiest beaches in England and Wales. Volunteers are the heart of the RNLI. We rely on more than 40,000 volunteers - on lifeboats, at stations, on beaches, and in fundraising. Some crew members and most lifeguards are full time. They work with other staff to ensure comprehensive safety coverage around our islands. The RNLI is an independent charity with a board of volunteer trustees. ▼

In loving memory of Dennis with whom we shared many a happy hour raising funds for the RNLI over some 40 years. During this time he became a very close friend who happily joined us for various celebrations and who would always put a smile on the face of all he met.
